Words like "quirky," "artsy," and "upbeat" are often used to describe Italian label Marni, and with good reason. Founded in 1994 by designer Consuelo Castiglioni, the label is known for applying juxtaposed colors, textures, and prints; offbeat fabrics, and asymmetrical cuts to create its signature bohemian-chic aesthetic. In addition to the women's collection, a men's line was introduced for Spring/Summer 2002, followed by eyewear a few years later. In 2012 Marni collaborated with H&M on a successful diffusion line and launched its first fragrance in 2013.
"I wish to satisfy the desire women have for uniqueness and distinction, and at the same time to make them feel at ease."
